Ariel Gail

Professor Gail S. Goodman teaches psychology at the University of California Davis. She also serves as the Director of the Center for Public Policy Research. The university is renowned for her pioneering the science of child eyewitness memories as well as using children who have been abused to serve as witnesses in court. Professor Goodman is a prolific writer and has been awarded numerous awards and grants. She has advised many government agencies and governments around all over the world on policy as well as research related to the treatment of child victims of the law by the system. She serves as a consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) of the Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She was a part of numerous professional organizations, such as the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. (Divisions Experimental Psychology Developmental Psychology Society for Child and Family policy and practice American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 56) She is a founding member of the American Professional Society for the Abuse of Children, the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. Professor Goodman has served as president of The American Psychological Association's Developmental Division, as well as three Divisions: Children and Families Policy and Practice Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology.
