Aurora

Aurora Aksnes was born on 15 June 1996 in Stavanger, Norway. She is professionally known as Aurora and occasionally stylized using lowercase letters, such in the form of AURORA. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves, was released in May of 2015 by Decca Records to great approval of music bloggers and the media. The artist has already released two top-of-the-line covers Half the World Away by the band Oasis in a commercial for Christmas from John Lewis and Nature Boy by Nat King Cole. Her name was also recognized through a tweet from Katy Perry where Perry endorsed her track Runaway. Celebrate her special birthday. Aurora Aksnes' first musical moment was when she stumbled across a miniature piano hidden in the basement, and bewildered by the sound it created. The parents of her May-Britt family along with Jan Oystein Aksnes encouraged her to study music, not for a career or hobby but to grow. She started writing her own songs. In addition to Bjork as well, she mentions Leonard Cohen as an influence. To counter her mother's suggestion that she shouldn't be trying to become famous with the songs she writes, but rather be aware of the significance of them and their impact on society. Her mother suggested that she sing her songs in public in order to make people aware of their importance and the ways they could impact the world. Family members didn't even have any idea about it until she reached the age of fourteen. Aurora's accomplishments were never her dream. She claims that she enjoys writing music. According to her, she believes that music can help people feel more relaxed.
